What We've Been Doing

"I AM..." Girls Conference and Workshops

image91

Who

All girls from 11 to 17 years of age with an interest in learning, sharing and having fun.

What

The “I Am…” girl’s conference and workshops were created to allow each young lady to explore their You. As they navigate through life’s journey there will be a number of options available to them both professional and social. It is my hope that they will make every effort to take advantage of opportunities that interest them as [they] can open doors to promising futures making a more rounded person. The workshop sessions ("Creations of Me" and Life Skills 101") are divided into two areas allowing the girls to explore their creative talents as well as to gain essential life skills. Within each session type there are six workshops.  The choices are hard, but all equally rewarding.

The event will feature event appropriate and cost affordable vendors for shopping. The "Creations of Me" sessions are hands-on workshops. The "Life Skills 101" workshop sessions are designed to prepare the girls for real life events. The afternoon conference, "Girl Talk" invite the girls to interact in conversations with a professional radio show host or female entrepreneur. There will be special entertainment and performances during lunch. In addition, gift bags and prizes will be awarded throughout the day’s event.

Annual "Hats and High Tea"

image92

This is a great time to pull out your most favorite fab hat because our 5th Annual Hats and High Tea takes place in conjunction with the "Run for the Roses".  Yes, the famous Kentucky Derby .

It’s been two years since our last tea and lunch event and we are super excited to invite you to this spring garden lunch. You are cordially invited to celebrate good manners and social protocol at the Hats and High Tea Garden Lunch. This event is opened all ages seven and up.

Come sport your best hats (Derbys, Fedoras, Bonnets, Big Brim, Bailey, Borsalino, Cloche and Biltmore) and strut in your spring/summer linens, cottons and sun dresses (no jeans, athletic caps or shoes).

While you partake of a lunch that includes fresh fruit, tea sandwiches (shrimp, tuna, chicken salad, smoke salmon and cucumber with herb cream cheese), assorted breads, homemade scones and cupcakes, and an assortment of teas, enjoy some live entertainment and specialty merchandise displays and sales.

Guest can participate in the much anticipated Hatitude fashion show. No modeling experience require. Just a lot of fun. People's choice awarded for biggest, fanciest and most original toppers.

Mark your calendars.  You don't want to miss this event!
